Advisor – Bir Singh
THE BODHI TREE owes its origin to a banker- turned- college teacher, Bir Singh, who believes that path to break the trap of poverty, unemployment, and helplessness in the country passes through total education, quality education, and livelihood skills to the youth. The endemic scenes and financial stress witnessed by him in rural areas encouraged him to make a change.
Mr. Bir Singh drew inspiration for starting this initiative from the journey of Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, a Buddhist leader, peace-builder, and educator, who believed in the dignity and supreme value of life and the creative potential of every individual.
